| The Crow and Bear is keen on celebrating Southern Oregon. Our estate varietals are those you'll find in Europe at this latitude: Tempranillo, Primitivo, Syrah, Petite Syrah — the Big Reds. Balance those reds with Chardonnay and Viognier, and you can see that by about 2017 we'll have a fine suitcase of Old-World, warm-weather varietals. But for now, and to begin with, let us introduce . . . |
![]() | Vision, Crow and Bear Winery's first white wine, was a 2013 100% Marsanne. Sourced from Agate Ridge Vineyard in the Rogue Valley AVA, these fine grapes were picked at their penultimate moment of ripeness. Vinted by Michael McAuley Wines, Vision was cellared at Crow and Bear, and was bottled here. Dried pear lends a framework for Vision's spicy aromas. On the palate, this wine shows mineral and nutty complexities followed by a lingering finish. Vision was received enthusiastically. In fact, it sold out a year ago. |
| We are proud to announce the release of our first fine Viognier. This 2014 Dry Creek Valley white comes to us from our family's Morehouse Estates in Sonoma County. Aromas of straw grass, jasmine, and orange blossom lead to a velvety mouthfeel and unfolding flavors of peach, apricot, and nectarine with accents of tropical floral spices. Yet there’s nothing cloying here: just the deep, belting voice of pure wine nectar. Viognier is available by the taste, the glass, the bottle, the case, or in growlers. $19 a bottle or 1-liter fill. | ![]() |
![]() | Our most popular red wine is a Rogue Valley 100% Primitivo aged for three years in French oak. The first impression of eucalyptus, wheat toast, and blackberry in the nose leads into a mouthful of blackberry and bittersweet chocolate. The finish has tobacco notes and a balance of acids and tannins. Our Rogue Valley Primitivo is available by the taste, the glass, the bottle, or in growlers. $23 a bottle or 1-liter fill. |
![]() | Courage is for everyone, and here it is, our 2011 Rogue Valley 100% Merlot.
This unpretentious, medium-bodied 100% Merlot, sourced from Old Stage Cellars’ Rogue Valley grapes, spent three years in seasoned French oak. On the nose, black cherry, on the palate, a hint of oak make promises on which this easy-on-the-tannins wine, with its smooth mouthfeel and clean finish, delivers. An accessible, food-friendly, everyday wine perfect with red meats and with chocolate, Courage is ready to drink now, but bottle aging will only enhance its fine qualities. Courage is available by the taste, the glass, the bottle, the case, or in growlers. $21 a bottle or 1-liter fill. |
![]() | Our exciting new red wine blend "Primitive Courage" is more adventurous than either of its parents. Complex and intriguing, this blend of 50% Merlot ("Courage") and 50% Primitive delights all who taste it.
Primitive Courage has quickly become one of our best sellers. Available by the taste, the glass, the bottle, the case, or in growlers. $22 a bottle or 1-liter fill. |
| Don't have your own growler? We'll sell you one customized with the Crow and Bear logo. For personal use, home decor, or gifts, these distinctive growlers make a memorable statement. | ![]() |

| Our estate wines will bear the prestigious appellation Applegate Valley. This USGS map of the Rogue Valley shows the boundaries of the Applegate Valley AVA. Find Crow and Bear in the upper left corner of the appellation, near the Applegate River's confluence with the Rogue. The red dot marks the spot. | ![]() |
